Many professionals seem to keep Affinity Photo for »fun« projects around - which on the other hand indicates that it can probably be a capable image processing program for many (others). Yes, Affinity Photos total action functionality is subpar to Photoshop any day of the week, but for certain applications it does indeed offer functional parity. Well, actually filters, layers, gradients,… all live in Affinity Photo. Can we agree that the filter preview in Photoshop is somewhat straight out of… I’ll be kind, say 2005?🥹 Affinity Photo does that live.And you can save your undo&processing/action history with a Affinity Photo document.The brush system is as robust as the one of Photoshop, but what Affinity Photo additionally has are image brushes (full color)- oh, and you can can directly create brushes from a layer, no need to open a new canvas, create black&white images, et cetera et cetera….live gradients make Photoshops implementation look… well, »sad« I guess.PS is undoubtly the industry standard, still there are things in Affinity Photo Adobe should take note of: Click to expand.Of course it is an opinion.
